Timeline: our 46-metre timeline impressively illustrates the evolution of Planet Earth and its living creatures – from 4,600 million years ago until the present day.
The primeval rift allows you to take a look inside Teiritzberg hill. Two big screens tell our visitors all about the history of the rift and what they can discover here.
The following indoor highlights are also part of the tour:
The exhibition and its interactive and multimedia elements allow our visitors to immerse themselves in the different landscape types that used to prevail in this area. The exhibits include some of the most impressive fossils found on Teiritzberg hill at Stetten, such as the skull of a long-snouted dolphin and the world’s largest fossil pearl.
The oyster reef can be found in a hall adjacent to the exhibition. An animated film shows you the exciting history of the world’s largest oyster reef, which can be explored here at Fossilienwelt.
The guided tour will take you through our indoor and outdoor areas. Our outdoor area is accessible for people with disabilities, with the exception of the Shell Tower.
