General Terms and Conditions – Fossilienwelt GmbH

1. Scope of Application
These General Terms and Conditions apply to visiting the Fossilienwelt Weinviertel as well as to all services offered, in particular admission, guided tours, workshops, events, children’s birthday parties, shop and catering services, and online bookings.
By entering the premises or purchasing an admission ticket or making a booking, visitors acknowledge and accept these GTC.
2. Opening Hours & Admission
Opening hours are published on the website and displayed on site. Admission is only permitted with a valid admission ticket or booking confirmation. Staying on the premises is only allowed during official opening hours or during confirmed bookings outside regular opening hours. The Fossilienwelt reserves the right to restrict or deny admission in whole or in part for safety, weather-related, or organizational reasons.
3. Admission Prices & Tickets
The currently valid admission prices as displayed on site, on the website, or on the booking platform apply. Discounted tickets are only available upon presentation of valid proof. Admission tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable unless expressly agreed otherwise. Lost tickets cannot be replaced.
4. Online Bookings & Reservations
Bookings for guided tours, workshops, children’s birthday parties, or events are binding. Cancellations are only possible in accordance with the cancellation conditions stated at the time of booking (up to 7 days before the scheduled date: free of charge; 6–3 days before the scheduled date: 50% of the price; 0–3 days before the scheduled date: 100% of the price). In the event of no-show without timely cancellation, there is no entitlement to a refund. The Fossilienwelt reserves the right to modify or cancel programs due to unforeseen circumstances.
5. Conduct on the Premises & House Rules
Visitors must behave considerately and comply with the house rules. Parents or accompanying persons are responsible for supervising children. Entering play areas, excavation zones, climbing areas, and adventure zones is at the visitor’s own risk. Instructions given by staff must be followed.
6. Safety, Nature & Special Notices
The Fossilienwelt is a nature-oriented adventure facility. Uneven ground, natural influences, and weather-related changes may occur. Notice for allergy sufferers: Due to the natural indoor climate in the Oyster Hall and in the area of the crevice in the mountain, the presence of mold spores cannot be ruled out. The presence of wasps, bees, and other insects is possible, especially in outdoor areas. Entering natural and forest areas outside designated paths is not permitted. Dogs are allowed on the premises only if kept on a leash and wearing a muzzle.
7. Liability
Use of the facilities is at the visitor’s own risk. The Fossilienwelt is only liable for damages caused by intent or gross negligence. No liability is assumed for lost or damaged personal items.
8. Fossils & Finds
Taking fossils or found objects is only permitted as part of expressly offered programs. Outside these programs, removing material is prohibited.
9. Photo & Video Recordings
Photo and video recordings may be made on the premises for marketing purposes. By entering the premises, visitors consent to this.
10. Place of Jurisdiction
Austrian law applies. The place of jurisdiction is the registered office of the operator.
